Mikrosoft ve palm verizon'un kablosuz şebekesi için windows işletim
sistremi ile çalışan yeni bir ürün çıkarmışlar.

Billy Gates zaferi soyle ifade etmiş

“We had good competition between ourselves and Palm and others,” said
Mr. Gates. "Palm did good work, and we lusted after the things they did
well, and wanted to combine it with the things we did well.”

“Over the years, Microsoft and us have competed rather vigorously in the
marketplace,” said Mr. Colligan. “Things have changed. We are no longer in
the underlying operating system business. Partners sometimes compete
and competitors sometimes partner. This has always been a very
respectful relationship.”
