Hot off the back of a Grammy nomination for his album Real Gone, Tom
Waits has made an unexpected return to acting.

Waits has been tapped to play a small role as a wandering soothsayer in
the film Domino, starring Christopher Walken, Keira Knightly and Mickey
Rourke.

Domino is the true story of the daughter of British actor Laurence Harvey
who became a bounty hunter instead of pursuing a career as a Ford model.

Waits 'Metropolitan Guide' from his 'Real Gone' album has been nominated
in the category of 'Best Rock Solo Vocal Performance'. He will compete with
Ryan Adams 'Wonderwall', Steve Earle 'The Revolution Starts Now', Melissa
Etheridge 'Breathe' and Bruce Springsteen 'Code of Silence'.

Speaking about why he took the role, Waits said: "They won me in a poker
game."
